Coliseum Plans Accepted and Bids Sought for 1965 Project
Scurry County commissioners accepted final coliseum plans prepared by Austin architects and Snyder associate J D Hinton. Bids will be opened Sept 2. The $1,250,000 project follows voter approval on March 14 1964 and site purchase. The building near US 84 spans 240 by 280 feet with an arena of 88 by 180 feet and seating for about 4200 plus folding bleachers to exceed 5000 spectators.
