Scurry County Rodeo Opens With 1963 Lineup
The twenty seventh annual Scurry County Rodeo starts tonight at 8 pm at the rodeo grounds for four nights through Saturday. Admission is 1.50 for adults and 0.75 for children. Holladay Rites Set Thursday at Ira Church of Christ
Funeral services for Barney Lee Holladay 58 of Ira will be held Thursday at 3 pm at the Thirty-seventh Street Church of Christ. Yarnell Boyd and Ronnie Hitchcock will officiate with burial in Ira Cemetery. Holladay died at Cogdell Hospital at 8 am Tuesday after living in Scurry County since 1913. He was born December 15, 1904 in Garland and married Ovilla Chandler January 19, 1924 in Snyder. He leaves a wife, a daughter, a son, three sisters, seven brothers, and seven grandchildren.
