A Buenos Aires AP report says the overnight boat Ciudad de Asuncion caught fire and sank in the River Plate with 421 aboard. About 400 were rescued by coast guard patrol boats Murature and King and other vessels in dense fog, with 358 passengers and 43 crew members among the saved.
