Midland July 9. John William Orr 66 Texas and Pacific engineer was killed when he jumped from the cab seconds before a transport truck struck the train at a grade crossing off U S 80. Fireman W B Phillips 45 of Big Spring said emergency brakes were set after seeing the truck and that Orr opened the cab door before the crash.
