Texas escapee surrenders to FBI in Washington with daughter
Patricia Gale Boake surrendered at FBI headquarters in Washington around 11 a.m. along with three of her daughters including Sandy Chandler. Sandy had earlier spent her savings to seek help from President Carter after Boake's Fort Worth prison escape. The FBI said Boake called to warn agents to expect her arrival.

Calif couple report theft of entire vacation home near Sprague River
Donald and Alice Humphrey of Richmond California told Klamath County sheriff this week that thieves stole their vacation property found at Sprague River. The 12 by 16 foot portable home included an upstairs loft gas refrigerator bathtub table benches and a 12 by 12 foot tent deck and calf pen. The outhouse and animal pen were also taken.
