J. W. Moorman contractor on the Colorado River Dam southwest of Snyder begins closure this week with 60 large dirt moving machines moved from Lavon to the site. The work should finish in about 40 days barring delays by oil companies. The closure spans 500 feet and requires about 500000 cubic yards of dirt. Moorman’s firm has built 13 mounds for oil wells in the lake basin.
