Parakeets Die In Snyder House Fire
A fire at the Jack Greene residence on Twenty-seventh Street killed nine parakeets in the parakeet house. Greene, who is blind, found the blaze and tried to battle it with a hose before firefighters arrived. The likely cause is a gas heater hose leak. some birds were drowned with little other damage.
