Two Men Sought in Mabee Oilfield Theft Case
Felony theft warrants issued for Robert Emmett Moore III aged 19 and Ray Dean Shaver aged 21 in connection with the theft of oilfield equipment from Mabee Petroleum Co of Ira. Valves pipe pipe fittings and casing bits valued at 3700 recovered from Snyder Iron and Metal and behind a residence in the 1600 block of 28th Street. The equipment was reported stolen January 24 and recovered January 26, deputies said.

Iran Rioters Set Fires Ahead of Khomeini Return
Violence erupted in Tehran as rioters set fire to a nightclub a brewery and several restaurants while Iran awaited Ayatollah Khomeini's return. An American officer was shot in Tehran and Prime Minister Bakhtiar scrapped plans to fly to Paris to meet Khomeini.
