O Keefe pleads guilty in Brinks robbery case
Joseph J. O Keefe aged 47 pleaded guilty in Superior Court to armed robbery in the $1 219 000 Brink s holdup. He was held without bail and sentence deferred. He is expected to be star witness in trials of nine others among 11 indicted. One of the indicted died last year. Seven defendants connected with the case were in custody or at large.

Snyder Fire Destroys Two K M Apartments West of Row
Fire destroyed two units of the K and M Apartments at 1709 Avenue T about 11:30 p.m. Fire marshal Ivan Gatlin says the cause is unknown and insurers carried $4,000 on the buildings owned by Augustine Bonilla. Earlier, a grass fire at Deep Creek near Veteran's Club Park was put out, and a fire at 3001 Avenue T caused by a floor furnace did little damage before responders arrived.
