Four Killed In Collision Of Truck and Train Grapeland TX
A truck and the Missouri Pacific Texas Eagle streamliner collided at Grapeland Texas killing a mother and three children and injuring a fourth child. The crash wedged the truck under the diesel. the train was en route from Palestine to Houston and did not stop at Grapeland. The victims were Mrs Forrest Walling Virginia Walling and twin daughters Pamela and Paula. Nancy Franklin, nine, was critically injured. The husband was unnotified three hours after the crash. Local store owner George Dorsey Jr described the scene and the train not flag-stopped.
