In Madill Oklahoma Sinclair Oil No 5 Griffin wildcat blew out Wednesday releasing poisonous sulfuric gas. Valves were opened and closed to vent pressure while workers wore gas masks. The well, 2 1/2 miles northwest of Madill, had an estimated five million cubic feet daily flow. No injuries reported as crews fought to prevent a major blowout.
