Helicopter Crashes South of Montgomery in Transfer Flight
An Army helicopter from Fort Bragg crashed in a pasture about 20 miles south of Montgomery during a transfer to Fort Worth. The pilot, Warrant Officer Billy R. Prather, 28, of Dublin Texas, walked away with minor injuries. the aircraft was smashed beyond repair.

Southern Minerals Corp. of Corpus Christi announced a 20 cent per barrel hike in posted crude oil prices for Corpus Christi area fields. Six Killed In Bus And Truck Crash In Virginia

Indio California January time Miss Marie McDonald says two men abducted her at gunpoint from her Los Angeles home and dumped her in the desert 150 miles away. She says they demanded rings money and her body. Police report she was raped but a doctor found no evidence of an assault.
