The Texas State Insurance Board will not change auto insurance rates before July saving policyholders 112 million. No rate hearing will reconvene until the normal 1978 hearing in July. Suit verdict for school and county in demolition case
In 132nd District Court yesterday, the Snyder Independent School District and Scurry County won a combined $82,000 against contractor Jerry Don Stephens and bonding firm Balboa Insurance Co over the Travis Junior High School demolition. Balboa received $4,813.91 on a cross action for expenses and fees. The case stemmed from a year ago when Stephens, the demolition contractor bonded by Balboa, failed to fulfill terms while a new county jail rises on the site. Judge Wayland G Holt presided.

Mill Gets Order To Stop Farmers
Officials of a Tarrant County flour mill obtained a temporary restraining order to stop striking farmers from blocking the mill gates with tractors. Judge James Wright issued the order naming only two protesters, allowing others to continue picketing. The blockade arose after Burrus Milling refused to close the plant for 24 hours to support the farm strike for higher crop prices. Mill operations continued 24 hours a day while Fielding noted limited truck inflow and most flour being shipped by rail. Police were present but no incidents occurred.
