Derailment blocks Santa Fe freight near Snyder
A Santa Fe Freight No 501 derailed in east Snyder at 4 30 am when a draw bar parted sending two cars over and two more off the track. The 40 car train from Sweetwater to Amarillo had emptied hopper and tank cars among the derailed cars. loaded cars remained intact. No injuries reported and repairs were under way with normal service expected late afternoon.
