Zuckert Named Air Force Secretary by Kennedy
President elect Kennedy appointed Eugene Zuckert as secretary of the Air Force. Zuckert, 49, served as assistant secretary under Truman and on the Atomic Energy Commission, with a background in law and business. Connally was named secretary of the Navy, Fort Worth attorney and Johnson campaign manager. Kennedy plans meetings with Fulbright and Roosevelt Jr. at his Palm Beach home.

Old Cemetery Is Filled Up
The old San Antonio National Cemetery received its last burial today, a 73 year old World War I private named James A Owens from Waco who died last Monday. The cemetery established in 1867 holds over 3,000 graves and was made a national cemetery in 1936, with notable interments including Lt. F. J. Kelly and Gen. John L. Bullis, namesakes of Kelly Air Force Base and Camp Bullis.
