Four Injured In Scurry County Automobile Crash
Four people were hospitalized after a two-vehicle collision on a county road in south Scurry County. Peggy Juanez Whittenburg, 20, of 2201 Avenue 2, and three child passengers were among the injured. two other children and two men were uninjured. The crash happened near the Ira Dunn farm road at the top of a blind hill at about 11 45 a.m. The drivers were Ather Franklin Ellis, 30, of Colorado City in a 1955 Chevrolet pickup and Peggy Whittenburg in a 1955 Nash sedan. Ellis and W L Mowery were not hospitalized. Highway Patrolman Bill Zimmerman investigated.
