The annual Christmas greeting SDN will not publish on Christmas Day December 25 to allow staff time with family. Regular schedule resumes Monday December 26 as per long standing tradition and holiday observance.

Grady Erwin Snyder businessman and owner of Grady Erwin Furniture on East 25th Street died Friday at Cogdell Memorial Hospital after an apparent heart attack. Born November 12, 1913 in Bunker Hill Tennessee, he is survived by his wife Faye, a son Michael, and two brothers Elwood and Robert. Funeral services are pending at Bell Seale Funeral Home in Snyder.
Buck Layne of Snyder won the top Santa Bucks prize of 100 dollars in the last round of the pre Christmas Santa Bucks event sponsored by Snyder merchants. $50 winners include Mrs. Jerrald Bowen Rosa Valadez Francis Ruark Brenda Warren and $25 winners Rose Wood L G Sherrod Geneva Biddle. The Santa Bucks program ran five weeks with many local firms participating.
