Snyder temperatures show 52 high and 18 low Friday with 7 am reading at 27 Saturday across Northwest and Southwest Texas. Fair dry start to Monday with mild afternoons and cool nights, highs in 50s to 60s and lows 20s to 30s. North Central and Northeast Texas expect partly cloudy mild days with highs in the 60s and lows in the 30s. South Central and Southeast Texas stay generally fair, turning partly cloudy midweek with cooler mornings, highs 60s to 70s and lows mid 30s to 50s.
House Speaker Bill Clayton announced a new revenue estimate showing a potential treasury surplus of as much as 700 million for 1977.
