In Big Spring Texas a gunman posing as an oilman robbed State National Bank president Robert Currie of 12000 after bargaining from 60000 to 12000. Currie was pistol whipped and forced to drive the robber 25 blocks before the escape.

Snyder School Board Approves Three Proposals In Brief Session

In a short meeting the Snyder School Board approved two auditor recommended proposals and a health and hardship leave policy for auxiliary staff. Funds dormant for 19 years will be used to fund a masonry base for a high school display sign. A standardized pupil progress reporting system was also announced.
