The forecast shows clear to fair weather in Snyder with a high of 78 and a low of 17 today, no precipitation, and 22.68 inches total for 1977. Discussions included adding Mitchell County farms near the county line if desired. October counts showed 7057 weevils per acre in Mitchell versus 921 in Scurry, with the harvest already breaking county records at about 90 000 bales on just over 73 000 acres.
Two Snyder men avoid charges by choosing to clean a vandalism scene at local schools. A 17 year old Snyder High student and a 20 year old Western Texas College student spent about eight hours washing over 100 windows, starting at 10 a.m. and finishing at 6 p.m., after police traced the crime to them by car plate.
