Funeral service for W C Hammit Sr. is set for 2 p m today at East Side Church of Christ. Hammit, 89, died Monday evening at Brownwood Community Hospital. He was a native of Erath County and a retired farmer who moved to Scurry County in 1914 from Fisher County. Burial will be at Rotan Cemetery. Surviving are a daughter, four sons, a sister, a brother, 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. The funeral is under Bell Seale Funeral Home.
