Snyder residents receive a 15 percent credit on fire insurance premiums for 1951 52 due to the department's record of low fire losses. Fire chief N W Autry and state firemen association secretary Olin Culberson praised the department as a solid city investment. SAN ANTONIO August 31 The movement of cattle from South Texas to northern feeding grounds is running two months ahead of normal due to drought. A new livestock move set an all time local stock yards record with 91 cars in a single train. Three diesel engines pulled the mile long train north. Thirteen extra carloads were moved by Southern Pacific and Katy Railroads.
