Richard Crawford and Billy Jack Bennett, indicted for burglary, escaped the Scurry County jail near noon. Local and surrounding police search with a National Guard plane and bloodhounds from Big Spring aiding in the hunt. Three Hurt Critically In Odessa Flash Fire

Bus Overturns Killing Woman and Wounding Ten in Kentucky
A double deck Greyhound bus overturned near Lexington after sideswiping by two oncoming trucks. One woman passenger, identified as Mrs. Clara Hemphill of Knoxville, Tenn., died. He was born December 29 1880 and married Emily Smith September 1 1901 in Parker County. Surviving are 7 daughters 4 sons 4 sisters 24 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Funeral services will also be held at Poolville Baptist Church at 4 pm tomorrow with burial beside his wife. Nephews to serve as pallbearers.
