Snyder Man Electrocuted In Accident
James Lester Smith 29, an employee of W. W. Dubose Water Well Drilling Co., died instantly in a 1:30 p.m. accident 22 miles northwest of Snyder. He was guiding a mast pole on a Dubose truck when the pole contacted a high voltage line near the Gulf Oil Browning lease at Fluvanna. Funeral arrangements are pending at Bell Funeral Home. He left a widow Hannah Smith and three sons. He was born March 1, 1930, in Kaufman and was a Korean War veteran. Survivors include his parents Sam and Mrs. Smith of Snyder, two sisters and two brothers.
