A call for blood donors is issued for Mrs Lester Bruns wife of a Snyder police officer after a gunshot wound Sunday. Injured Girl Hidden To Cover Crime
In Dallas a car struck 10 year old Cheryl Howard on a bicycle. Two teenage boys hid the gravely injured girl in weeds before fleeing. Cheryl, bleeding and semiconscious, was tossed into a weeds patch after the station wagon sideswiped her companion Jane Bowers, age 14, who escaped with minor injuries. Neighbors described the driver as about 17, muscular and "nice looking" with black curly hair.
