John Allen Stavely Jr., 62, Fluvanna postmaster, died this morning at Hendrick Memorial Hospital in Abilene. A Fluvanna native, he ran the Fluvanna Mercantile Store for many years. Funeral arrangements are pending at Bolger Funeral Home. Survivors include his widow Ola Stavely, daughter Rose Nell Greenhaw of Dallas, five sisters, two brothers, and three grandchildren.

Principals plan to complete registration on the first day of school, September 2, with high school registration 1 to 3 30 PM and elementary and junior high in the morning.
