Water use peaks then eases off in CRMWD region
Demand on the Colorado River Municipal Water District rose to 59 million gallons per day last week after a heat wave. Odessa used 25.48 million, Big Spring 14.701 million, Snyder at 6.2 million. Storage reservoirs declined as Odessa consumption outpaced delivery, with showers offering hope for recovery and July setting a monthly record of 1.721 billion gallons.

Pupils to Pre Register for Snyder Schools on Aug 20
Snyder School district students new to the district must report for pre registration on Wednesday August 20. Junior and senior high students in grades 7 through 12 register 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. All elementary students also register on that date and time. Superintendent Bill J. An Olympic Airways DC3 carrying 31 passengers disappeared after leaving Athens at noon en route to Agrinion on Greece’s northwest coast.
