A Pennsylvanian discovery at Sea board Oil & Associates No. 1 L. B. Vaughn southeast of Dawson County yields a calculated 383.52 barrels of oil per day from 8 195 to 8 227 feet after mud acid wash. The well bottomed at 8 285 feet with 5 1/2 inch casing cemented. Three new field tests announced in Scurry Kent and Borden counties include Superior Oil No. 1 537 Mathus in Scurry for Ellenburger test to 8 500 feet and No. 1 C. Borger Texas youth Bobby Joe Rine one of three charged in the 22000 Farmers National Bank robbery in Erick Oklahoma surrendered to Borger police and returned 4800 of the loot. He described a long flight from Colorado to California Las Vegas and Seattle before reaching Borger to surrender. FBI and local officers continued to detain Holland and Spangler as they face federal armed robbery charges in Oklahoma City. Bond for Rine was set to be set at Amarillo.
