Supreme Court bars Ky from Vietnamese presidential race
Saigon reports the Supreme Court ruled Vice President Nguyen Cao Ky ineligible for the October 3 election. Only President Nguyen Van Thieu and retired Gen. Duong Van Minh qualified. Ky’s petition failed after 39 of 102 endorsements duplicated Thieu’s, leaving Ky invalid. Thieu met requirements with 452 council endorsements and 104 National Assembly endorsements. Minh had 27 deputies and 17 senators.

Art Exhibit at WTC Showcases Diverse Works
Western Texas College hosts an introductory art exhibit August 10 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the college offices. C. Warren Cullar, art instructor, outlines four first semester courses in Art Appreciation Freehand Drawing and Crafts taught by himself and Mrs. Cullar. Wholesale Prices Mixed in July Report
The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports July wholesale prices mixed with farm and processed foods down three tenths of a percent, while lumber and steel rise sharply. Industrial products up six tenths, the largest in 10 months, keeping the overall index at 114.6 from a 1967 base of 100. The annual rate is 3.3 percent higher than a year ago.
