Youth Held In Crime Spree In North Texas Robbery and Slaying
Irving youth Mark Richard Harris, 15, surrendered to Fort Worth Police after a spree across the Dallas Fort Worth area. He is linked to an armed robbery of Henry Whitehurst in Roscoe and the murder of Roscoe night watchman Lewis Snyder. The case involves stolen autos, a doughnut shop robbery, and a pick up theft from Forrest Chevrolet. Snyder’s death occurred around 4 a.m. Thursday, with investigators tying Harris to the gun and knife found near the crime scene. Funeral services for Snyder were scheduled in Roscoe.
