Plans Made For Annual Farm Tour By Chamber Committee
A chamber of commerce agriculture committee outlined the annual farm tour for August 28. Bill Jordan as chairman appointed sub committees to handle tour details. The event opens at 8 30 a m at the stock barn Towle Memorial Park and runs all day with a noon meal and speaker in the park pavilion. A joint luncheon with civic clubs may be arranged. A farmer businessmen supper for Dunn and China Grove farmers is planned for next week with final supper plans to follow under Henry Burchett's sub committee.

John Earl Patrick 67 of Scurry County died at Cogdell Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Funeral services planned at First Baptist Church with burial in Snyder Cemetery. He leaves Dora Jane Patrick widow, a daughter in Tacoma, two sons in Fort Worth and Snyder, a sister and six grandchildren. He was a Baptist, Woodmen of the World member, born July 10, 1891 in Mansfield Texas.
