Threeway Drilling Co of Midland filed with the Railroad Commission to deepen the No 2 J R Durrett wild cat well 3 1/2 miles northwest of Post from 3600 to 4200 feet for a test of the Clear Fork. No production shown to date. Located in Garza San Andres field section 4 scrap file 1442 abstract 1065. Test ongoing at C T Robertson Wichita Falls and associates No 1 Nora Gee seven miles southwest of Silver in Northwest Coke County. Perforations at 7006-076 feet fractured with 10 000 gallons of sand oil flow 15 barrels per hour for four hours. 24 hour test yielded 186 barrels. The No 1 Gee was drilled to 8120 feet by Mar-Tex Realization Corp of Dallas, abandoned in 1951, reentered and cleaned out later. SCURRY COUNTY Progress Petroleum develops salt water on latest test.
