The A bands from Snyder's two junior high schools for eighth and ninth graders start summer band school Monday in August. The full band meets 8 to 10 a.m. with flutes until 11:30 a.m. on Monday. Travis Junior High director Glen Thompson and Lamar Junior High director Bob Chapman lead the programs. Beginning band classes start with the school year.
