Hospital Contract Let and Bonds Sold in County Action
The county commissioners awarded the hospital addition contract to A P Kasch & Sons Construction Co of Big Spring for 451 254 dollars. The two banks Snyder’s West Texas State Bank and Snyder National Bank sold 225 000 dollars in bonds due 1962 with a 3 25 percent rate and an option to buy the rest in 1961 to save interest. The federal Hill Burton funds will cover 250 000 dollars of the 450 000 authorized for the project, with the rest cancelled. The court also approved 16 additional lights at the county park.
