Woman's Home Razed By Fire
The two room frame home of Mrs. Rosa Barrera in the Latin American section near the Santa Fe line burned completely just before noon. The 55 year old widow, who lived alone, said she left the house about 30 minutes earlier after checking that fires and appliances were off. Cause of the blaze is unknown. Damages estimated at about 500 dollars.

New General Alarm Siren Installed for Volunteers
A second general alarm fire siren was installed yesterday in Southwest Snyder to alert volunteer firefighters. Fire Marshal Ivan Gatlin said the high-line pole siren sits 25 feet high at Thirty-seventh and Avenue V and should be louder than the old city hall unit.
