City Faces Water Shortage as Residents Ignore Plan
City superintendent W. J. Ramsey said mains and storage tanks were nearly empty this morning during a critical shortage phase. He cited numerous residents watering lawns at night in violation of the voluntary plan, naming Highland Park and Towle Place as the main violators, while praising the majority for cooperation. A new well No. 28 was completed, several test wells began, and scheduled watering days were announced: today between Thirtieth and Twenty fifth Streets, tomorrow east of the Big Spring Highway, and Friday in Southwest Snyder areas.

Hearing Set in Juvenile Court for 16-Year-Old Suspect
A 16-year-old Mexican youth involved in the shooting of Jesus G. Luera, 19, last Sunday, had a hearing postponed to 1:30 PM tomorrow in juvenile court. The delay was granted on motion by local attorney Frank Sentell for the juvenile’s counsel, who was out of town. Luera’s condition at Snyder Hospital was reported improving after being shot in the right tibia and hip with a .45 caliber pistol. the juvenile remained in his father’s custody pending the hearing.
