MOSCOW AP U S officials say Brezhnev attended three days of talks with Cyrus Vance but there was no major change in Soviet positions. The secretary found the tone overall good with some disagreements.

Snyder's 1978 cast and crew directed by Jerry Worsham will compete May 5 in the state contest in Austin. Marca Parham repeated as best actress for The Corn Is Green, with Snyder actors Nell Sears Jeanne McCormick and Bobby Moore named to the all star cast.
In Scurry County May 6 primaries, all contested races show Democratic candidates running without campaign committees. Reports due April 6 list expenditures and filing fees. several candidates did not file. In county judge race Preston Wilson spent 1019.57, mostly on advertising and filing fees. Bobby Goodwin spent 637.08, with 300 on filing and 163.18 to American Display Products. Callaway spent 504.64 with 200 for the filing fee. Other candidates filed partial or no reports as noted.
Ron Goebel and his wife Donna Lynn and their son Justin moved into a steel residence on the Robert Lee Highway. The 1,760 square foot brick-on-edge home features insulation R values of 35 in the roof and 25 in the walls, insulated glass, and minimal wood to reduce fire risk. Goebel, a Wadleigh Construction chief draftsman, designed and largely built the house starting July 1976, aiming for durability, energy efficiency, and low maintenance beyond typical brick homes.
