Drainage Districts Established By County Commissioners
County commissioners spent the week considering a drainage ditch proposition petitioned for. They established two drainage districts designated as districts two and three, covering parts of Hart, Grant, Levi, Minnesota and Enterprise townships. Land in the districts is largely in need of drainage, with some fields up to eighty acres per quarter rendered useless. No work will begin until commissioners order it, guided by financial conditions and interested parties.

Cowley Wyoming resident C Hower bought a carload of prunes in Idaho where his father in law grows them and ships them in boxes at 1 40 per box in Wyoming. The Idaho grower earns 40 cents a box while freight costs push the price difference negative. School News Highlights Student Activities at Our Campus
The reading notes report a Mary Pickford film shown in the school auditorium on Friday Oct 21. Fifteen second grade pupils were neither absent nor tardy last week. Monica Perkins joined the eighth grade, boosting enrollment to thirty eight. Fourth graders drafted fire prevention rules and dramatizations of Captain John Smith Pocahontas and Sir Walter Raleigh. Forty eight new recitation chairs were added to high school equipment. Mayor Bunde spoke on fire prevention at the high school. Total high school enrollment is two hundred with ninety five in attendance. Carrollinthian and Anza societies reorganized. Fern Jackson and Agnes Shoberg elected presidents.
