Postmaster Roberts Charged With Making False Returns

Roberts, postmaster at Vin Brooks, faced a hearing before U S Commissioner Croal on the charge of making false returns. The complaint was by W C Batie, post office inspector. Roberts pled not guilty and was bound over to the U S Court at Aberdeen in the sum of $500.
