Baby Bitten by Monkey at Wentworth Residence
A pet monkey owned by Mr and Mrs J Wentworth escaped from its cage Tuesday morning and bit a baby at the Wentworths residence. The child sustained severe shoulder and thigh wounds but is expected to recover. The monkey was later captured and removed.

Man Drowns Crossing Ice Near Dakota Shore
Joseph Lee, an 85 year old resident of Liseton and City Wy, attempted a crossing to the Dakota shore yesterday. He pushed his boat ahead, broke through thin ice, and, unable to reenter the boat, drowned before help arrived. His wife survives, with parents residing in Alexandria, Minnesota.

Tragic Well Disaster Claims Local Man McCune
Summit residents were stunned Thursday noon when a drilling accident in a well led to the instant death of Frank McCune. The rescue effort by Mr. Goodell and local neighbors, aided by Dr. Martens, failed to save him as heavy gas impeded the attempts. Tay lor nearly succumbed but recovered. Funeral details were not yet learned.
