Roberts County First Fair Association 1904 Not Realized
In 1904 the Roberts County Fair association formed from the Sisseton Driving Park group tried to establish a county fair on 40 acres southwest of the city. Despite high hopes the effort failed, buildings were razed by 1907 and land repurposed. By 1921 a new fair proposition emerged with better prospects.

Former Sisseton Lad Run Down by Auto
Dillard Russell twelve year old son of Mrs Andrew Gunderson of the Savoy apartments was struck and run over by an automobile while playing marbles at Second and Cedar streets. He had both legs broken just below the knee and was taken to Sacred Heart hospital where he is reported to be progressing satisfactorily. Mr Gunderson is employed by the county.
