Graduating Exercises at the Indian School
The Sisseton Indian Industrial School concluded its week with a Baccalaureate sermon by Rev. J. W. Christianson and a June 17 piano recital by students under Miss Clara Hine. An outdoor commencement included a dress parade, band concert, and a large program of drills, songs, and speeches by students and visiting speakers focusing on home life, citizenship, and Indian rights.

Destructive Storms Sweep the Country
A cyclone struck Watertown Tuesday evening tearing a sixteen by three block path through the residence section injuring 15 seriously with two fatalities expected. Webster and Minneapolis also suffered heavy damage including building destruction and several deaths. The storm began with heavy rain and fierce lightning followed by NW winds. local damage included a barn upheaval, blown tents, broken windows in Preston's store, the Public Library, the court house and W. J. Thomas' harness shop. Prof Rupe was struck in the tent and injured, and a piano from Geo Miller was soaked. Shade trees at several properties were toppled by the wind.

Death of Burton Greenfield After Long Sickness
After a long illness the 11 year old Burton Greenfield died from injuries sustained last Christmas while coasting. He was a favorite at school and beloved by parents. Funeral services were held Thursday at 10 a.m. at his home with Rev. J. W. Christianson officiating.

Baseball Roundup From Sisseton Milbank Contests
Base Ball results show Sisseton losing to Milbank 2 to 1 last Sunday, then winning on Monday. Tuesday’s game ended early due to rain with no score after three innings. Wednesday Milbank beat Sisseton 10 to 4. Bloomer Girls slated to play here this afternoon.
