Obituary: Palmer Julius Aleve Pioneer of South DakotA
Palmer Julius Aleve born July 10, 1896 on a farm near Veblen South Dakota. After early losses he lived with his father and sister then with grandfather Peter Samdahl seeking inheritance and companionship. He attempted army enlistment in 1913 but failed eye exam and later returned to Granite Falls before pursuing work and a home with relatives.
