The well known single man Jens Rasmussen died suddenly at 5 p m last Friday. Suspected ptomaine poisoning from noon meal prompted an inquest that was halted by legal objection. burial occurred after the coroner’s jury ruled death from natural causes. Rasmussen, well to do, reportedly sought to make a will but could not sign. Rumors persist of a possible claim by Mrs Rivness based on marriage. L Hald of Effington is a second cousin with Minneapolis relatives.
German meteorologist Herr Heygendorff demonstrates dew point testing by cooling water in a metal cup with salt until condensation appears on the cup’s exterior. The thermometer reading at that instant yields the air temperature for saturation.
