North Dakota officials announced a clean audit for the Bank of North Dakota, the State Mill and Elevator association, and the Home Building association. The bank shows a total surplus of 180000 with assets exceeding liabilities by 215000, and auditors praised proper fund accounting and cooperation from bank management.

Lutheran Church Fancy Work Sale Draws Large Crowd

The Goodwill Lutheran church held its annual fancy work sale on Tuesday evening January 25. An ideal evening drew a large crowd as Carl Graverson acted as auctioneer. The event raised 148.60 from sale of fancy articles and candy boxes plus lunch proceeds.

Lecture at Methodist Church on Home Mission Series

A stereopticon lecture at the Methodist Episcopal church on Monday presents "Land of Eternal Sun" in Java. Admission is free with a silver offering. The talk aims to educate on home and foreign mission work, with future sessions twice monthly. Everyone is invited to attend.

About thirty American Legion members spent a wet Monday night socializing. Smokes were shared and army memories swapped with tales of daring adventures and heroism. A legionnaire even reenacted the Battle of the Marne, adding lively color to the gathering.

A pleasant Sunday gathering at Mr. and Mrs. Tom Torson’s home included Mr. and Mrs. Gay Osmondson and children, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Monson and children, Mary and Leonard. Sisseton Loses to Visitors in Heated Basketball Clash

Sisseton battled Effington in a two game set with the girls' match showing fast pace and strong passing while the visitors combined boys and girls rules. Effington led 3-5 in the girls contest with Miss Harris starring. the boys’ game ended 23-8 at halftime and 38-? at the final whistle as Effington pulled ahead with Madison and Eggen strong on offense.
