Evelyn A and a friend narrowly avoided serious injury Monday afternoon when a car driven by John Nergaard swung left to pass them on Rowsmith Street near the Lang Hicks dray. Evelyn leaped onto the car its front and swung clear, then dropped to safety claiming she was unhurt. Nergaard, a careful driver, was shaken but unharmed.
