House passes pension bill for civil war soldiers
Washington January 11 The House of Representatives approved the Sullowis General pension bill granting monthly pensions from 12 to 26 for soldiers who served ninety days in the U S army in the Civil War or sixty days in the Mexican War and aged at least sixty two. Missing Young Assistant Tied to Sherman Bank Loot
The State Bank of Sherman was looted of 2692 dollars in one night. Aune, nineteen, who aided in the bank for the past month, is missing. Cashier Hansen left for Florence, Minnesota Saturday night. Detectives from St Paul are in charge though Monday’s holiday delayed discovery of the robbery until Tuesday.
