Adjourment of Court Indefinite and Long Docket
The district court under Judge Anderson remains in session with extensive civil and criminal dockets. Jurors were drawn from an enlarged list, with seven jurors summoned due to absences. Civil cases include sixty one on the calendar with thirty five ready for trial, many of them jury cases. Naturalization hearings were held with several applicants approved and others continued. Criminal trials occupied the second day, including guilty verdicts in Barber, Harris, Williams, and Houde cases, not guilty in Quinn and Akre, and guilty pleas from Keeble defendants. The term proceeded to civil jury trials, beginning with Harris v Polnau and Belto v Peoples State Bank, with many cases continued.
