Queen Motor Boat Adrift on Open Lake Opens Season

Excitement in SISSEIGN AND VICINITY as the seventy-five horsepower motor boat Queen breaks from moorings during a northwester, ice torn loose since 1894, crew work to land the craft and load grain on boat and barge for a return trip to the head of the lake, amid efforts to manage the open water and rough ice.

Local notes from the city and nearby towns

Babcock and Morris left Wednesday for a business trip to North Dakota. Nels Olberg has bath room work begun at home. Hans Tallackson plans a home addition and general improvements. Miss Burns of the city school is confined to her room by illness. Mrs J A Rickert entertained Episcopal Guild ladies at her home yesterday. Zenith Club to meet with Mrs Harry Spackman on December 13, last meeting before holidays. George Baxter of Wilmot and Robert Ross of Wilmot were in the city on business. Mrs Dr Ryan settled with Northern Pacific Railway Co over her son's injuries in Fargo. In Aberdeen we met C R Jorgenson and Mr McNaughton, now practicing law there. Will Rose, formerly of this city, is en route to Lemmon.
