Stockholders meet to push county stock drive April 25 26

Exhibits by Schools Highlight Goodwill District Event
Last Friday April 15 Goodwill school district No 2 held an alldistrict exhibition with three schools participating. Girls presented baked cakes and sewing while boys showed seed corn and students other school work such as writing arithmetic drawing and paper cutting. Walter Wickards won best composition for What I Would Do If I Had 100.00. Judges included County Agent Buchanan Miss Johnson of domestic science at Sisseton High and County Superintendent Miss Robinson. The event showed community progress and educational advancement through focused effort.

Bunde's Election in Sisseton Chooses Aldermen and City Band Levy
In Sisseton voters backed incumbent A C Bunde for mayor 341 to 122 while Tom Osman won the second ward alderman seat 61 to 54 over Swanberg. The municipal band levy passed by a large margin, promising a first class band with stable funding, and I Levi was unopposed in the third ward.
